Software House announces latest release of access control solution and adds powerful IP integration
Lexington, MA — December 3, 2009 — Software House, a Tyco International company, today announced further proof that it will continue to protect and strengthen its customers’ investments in C•CURE 800/8000.
The latest release of C•CURE 800/8000 (version 10.0) access control software supports the powerful iSTAR Edge two-reader IP edge door controller.
iSTAR Edge lowers installation costs, leverages existing IP networks, and increases system reliability by providing access control decision-making and intelligence at the door without sacrificing functionality. Version 10.0 of the C•CURE 800/8000 access control and security system software has been designed to take full advantage of the advanced feature set of iSTAR Edge – peer-to-peer communications, clustering, intrusion zones and keypad commands, extended card formats, and cluster-based anti-passback. One or two readers can be connected directly to the network without the additional expense of long wiring runs back to a central panel location.

In addition to supporting iSTAR Edge, the latest version of C•CURE 800/8000 includes Microsoft® Windows login authentication for enhanced security and password management, support for Windows Vista and Windows 2008, and NetVue video support for the latest versions of Intellex, VideoEdge, Nextiva, and NICE.
