With a 200 - 300 mm (8 - 12 in) read range, the Software House^® Extended Range Smart Card Reader (SWH-2400) is ideal for parking entrances, warehouses and other access control applications where the convenience of a longer read range is desired.

Ability to read MIFARE^® cards and other smart card technologies

The Extended Range Smart Card Reader is ISO compliant and provides robust security by reading encrypted sector data from MIFARE^® cards, using standard or custom read keys. It also reads card serial numbers from the following smart card technologies: ISO 14443A (including DESFire^® and MIFARE), ISO 14443B and ISO 15693 (including My-D^®, SLI-2, iCLASS^®), providing an incredibly versatile access control solution.

Easy-tune feature provides fast tuning

Optimum read range is assured through the reader's unique easy-tune feature, which provides a quick method to tune the reader and reduce the impact of nearby metallic objects on the read range.

Flash new firmware to save time and money

Save time and money by easily adding new functionality or enhancements and new card protocols and formats in the field by flashing new firmware directly to the reader.
